Sol is the guiding light of your chart. It represents the goals of your life as it crosses the sky every day toward its inevitable destination. We aspire to our sun sign, but don't always achieve it because we get stuck at 2 pm and can't get back to work after lunch.

It is the central clearing house of unconditional love. The human heart breaks to make way for the transcendent, spiritualized heart, the heart of the Lover with that little flame on top.
The Sun is the higher octave of the Moon and Mars. The Sun is Spirt, bridegroom of the Moon, particpant in the Sacred Marriage. In this way it represents your life goals. It is a combination of Logos and Imago.
Logos is the idea, masculine. Imago is the image, feminine. Thus the two are made into one lovely thing, unconditional and united in life. Sun rules the sign Leo.
