Moon
The moon is your clan affiliation and contains the collective memories of your lineage. It represets that which nourishes you because it is familiar like deja vu'. It is where and what and whom you have been before. It is your autonomic nervous system, and as such, operates automatically.
They say that the earth as we know it would not exist without the moon, so the two are in symbiosis, like mother and nursing child. We live on the earth, nursing from her. She derives pleasure from us being here. The Earth loves us, in the form of nature that provides for our needs.
Moon represents Mother Goddess and she is bride to the Sun. In Kabala she is called Shekinah. You know her from those times when you are close with those whom you know and love. She is Soul, the loving mother with child.
The Moon's cycle is 28 days. In Goddess times the year was described by the thirteen full moons of the year. When there was no electricity women cycled with the moon. Women had an easier time in knowing their fertility cycles in those days, because they were tuned into the Moon's phases.
