So what do the Ram and a naked lady have in common? Aries is the energy of newness. Spring charges into being without question or hesitation. Birth is a good analogy for Aries because it is the beginning. Our Spring Goddess in the painting is fresh and innocent.

We associate innocence with lack of experience. Aries is the first energy on the wheel of life and so it has none. We can call it the boldness of youth. Spring lacks shame. There is only the joy of life in this archetype.
